A verbatim entertainment devised

by John Turnbull, "Raging Romantics" brings Byron, Shelley, Keats & Coleridge together in a passionate debate about their work and their times; a collage of some of their greatest poetry, interspersed with their revolutionary and provocative letters and diaries. The French revolution is fresh in their minds, and the American War of Independence, Greece’s struggle for independence from the Turks, the rise of Republicanism in Italy, troubles in Ireland, the repressive madness of George 3rd – their cry was down with Despotism, at home and abroad, and they fought for personal, artistic and political freedom in words and deed. A tribute to Revolutionary fervour 200 years old, still reverberating. Mad, bad and dangerous to know could have applied to them all.
