What are the shows about?
Raven, A Bird

"Telling Tales" is a late night frightbite

journey into the eerie side of the poetic imagination. Stories of obsession and possession; Coleridge's "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner", which constituted the entire second half of the show; Poe's "The Raven"; Lord Byron's 1816 premonitory dream of the end of the world - "Darkness". And on the lighter fantastic; WS Gilbert's "Nightmare", and Lewis Carroll's "Jabberwocky", with a liberal peppering of madly inventive modern minds like Roger McGough and Carol Ann Duffy.

In subsequent revivals of "Telling Tales" leading musician composers have joined John Turnbull on stage for soundscaping - making an exciting and provocative poetry/music jam.
